Feast Day Celebration of the Word for Nursery 30 June 2026 - Nursery have St Peter and St Paul as their Class Patron and yesterday we were so blessed to have families join us for worship and Celebration of the Word. Daily Rosary Prayer Group 05 May 2026 - This month we honor Our Lady with a daily opportunity to say a decade of the Rosary. Pupils lead this prayer group in our prayer garden. Nursery lenten crosses 27 March 2026 - Nursery have been learning about Holy Week with a focus on the cross. They have sculpted and made their own crosses as they learn about Jesus carrying the cross and dying on the cross. They ended the week making hot cross buns.

Alton Castle Retreat 22 March 2026 - Children preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist went on retreat with their peers to the Alton Castle. Tag Rugby Competition 10 March 2026 - These pupils represented the school superbly in the WASPS Mixed Tag Rugby Festival today, showing resilience and sportsmanship in all of their matches against teams from other City schools. Healthy Eating 12 June 2025 - Children in nursery are learning about healthy eating. They have tasted watermelon, kiwi fruit and blueberries at snack time, in addition to their daily fruit. Library Visit 16 May 2025 - Nursery children enjoyed visiting the library this week. They listened to stories about recycling and caring for the planet, sang nursery rhymes, made a sunflower, joined the library and borrowed a book. All our classes in school will be visiting the local library in the upcoming weeks!

Conclave Live Assembly 08 May 2025 - Today our pupils watched the live assembly about the Conclave. Children enjoyed listening to the facts and participating in a live liturgy from the Vatican city. Children wrote prayers to Jesus asking to support the Cardinals to choose the next Pope by listening to his guidance.
Tennis Taster Day 08 May 2025 - Today, Tim from Albrighton Tennis Club came to do a free taster session for all of our children in Reception to Year 5. The children did a variety of different activities which helped improve their racket and ball skills! They have all been invited to free tennis sessions in June!  
Author Visit 07 May 2025 - An unforgettable day for some of our students! They had the incredible opportunity to visit Cressida Cowell, the brilliant author behind How to Train Your Dragon. LearnPlay Project 07 June 2024 - Today marked the start of Year 6 participating in a LearnPlay Project to give then unique experiences with new technology and ideas to aspire for careers within computing and design. Molineux Cup 22 May 2024 - Today, we took part in the Primary Molineux Cup. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best but this didn’t damped the occasion. Our children did ever so well coming third in our group with some strong performances from Stephanie, Savannah and Monika, who scored a goal in the first match!

STEM Workshop – Year 5 16 May 2024 - On Wednesday, the STEM response team from Wolverhampton University came into lead a workshop for our Year 5 children on forces and magnets. This linked in really well with the children’s learning in Science and they loved all the experiments they were able to take part in!

National Numeracy Day at SSPP 15 May 2024 - We have been celebrating National Numeracy a week early at SSPP. Children have been playing Numbots Bingo, creating Numberblocks bottle rockets and thinking about their vocation in the future and how that relates to maths.

Nursery complete the Mini London Marathon 02 May 2024 - Congratulations to our youngest learners, who completed 9 laps of the field to complete the London Mini Marathon! Exercise is the word of the week – they have also done lots of exercise in PE – practising skills they have learnt this half term in balancing, rolling, jumping and crawling.

Creature Feature Experience 04 October 2023 - Today, we had a visit from the Creature Feature Experience and they brought a variety of animals to show the children. These included a skunk, anaconda, scorpion, tortoise, a royal python, tarantula and many more. The children all had the opportunity to stroke the animals and learn about their habitat and diet.
All Aboard Festival – Key Stage 1 03 October 2023 - We took 10 of our children to the all aboard festival at Aldersley Leisure Village this morning! Year 6 Molineux Prize 24 July 2023 - On Friday, as a reward for collecting the most bottles in the Reconomy project, Year 6 went to Molineux and had a guided tour of the stadium and museum.
Year 1 Wildside Visit 13 July 2023 - On Wednesday, Year 1 went on a Geography activity day to Wildside. They reactivated their Geography learning by looking for human and physical features during a canal walk.  They also experienced orienteering for the first time by map reading and using a compass. The children will continue using these skills in school this week.

Coronation Celebration! 05 May 2023 - The sun came out as we celebrated the King’s Coronation with a Coronation Brunch this morning on the school field! We all had a crown-shaped biscuit and some fruit. The children joined in the fun games led by our Play Leaders while music played – what a fabulous morning celebration for this historic occasion!

World Oral Health Day 20 March 2023 - In Nursery, children have been learning about the importance of oral hygiene; they brought their tooth brushes to school and we all brushed our teeth together. SPARKS visit for Year 4 14 March 2023 - Today, our Year 4 class had an educational visit from Tettenhall Fire Service. They were given tips on how to be safe at home in case of the fire. This included Stop, Drop and Roll incase they were on fire!

Play Leader Training 10 February 2023 - Today some of our Year 5 and 6 play leaders spent the day at Aldersley taking part in team work and communication activities. KS2 Multi Skills Event 25 January 2023 - Yesterday, some of our Year 3 and 4 pupils attended a multi-skills event at Westcroft School. They completed activities testing their skills such as jumping, speed, catching and agility! They did phenomenally well and came 3rd out of 10 teams! Well done children!
Key Stage 1 Multi-Skills Competition 23 January 2023 - This evening, some of our Year 2 children participated in a multi-skills competition. This involved testing their skills in speed, balance, throwing, jumping and their hand-eye coordination. They all gave their best and we look forward to finding out the results!

Young Voices 2023 11 January 2023 - Yesterday, our choir attended Young Voices 2023 in Birmingham, Singing ‘with all of their heart’ in a choir that was 6448 strong. Year 5 STEM Challenge – Road to RIAT 25 November 2022 - Yesterday, our Year 5 children took part in a national STEM Challenge – Road to RIAT! They used their skills from a variety of curriculum areas: Maths, Science, English, PSHE and Design Technology to compete in a Glider Challenge and then they had to design a sustainable aircraft for the future!

Remembrance Day 11 November 2022 - On the 11th day, of the 11th month on the 11th hour we will remember them. We gathered to observe the national silence following a liturgy prepared by pupils from Y4, Y5 & Y6. Pupils across school have laid their prayers at our alter as we pray for the souls of the departed.
