Yesterday in school, we celebrated Christmas on the date they celebrate in Ethiopia! Our youngest learnt about how people in Ethiopia enjoy playing a game like hockey. They then looked at the colours of their flag and using a skill of ‘dotting and dabbing’ they created their own. Some children even wrote cards for their families.

Across other year groups, we have revealed the icon painting commissioned for the #Jubilee2025 as part of our celebrations in school. We will be learning about the artist and the scripture connected to this art and displaying a copy in our school hall to admire.

Happy Christmas to our twinned school in Ethiopia
