What a beautiful evening at this years’ Candlelight Carol Service. Year 4 represented the school superbly in all of the ways in which they contributed to a very special evening. What a pleasure it is to be a part of this tradition.
On Friday, Year 3 and 4 attended Snowdome for their Winter Wonderland Experience. During their visit, the children were able to pull sledges in the snow, make snow angels and go down slides in the snow.
They watched a pantomime about Cinderella; wrote letters to Father Christmas; saw lots of animals and rode a carousel.
For their final activity, they had lots of fun in the Snow Park.
The children arrived and were greeted by elves who guided them throughout the day sharing secrets about Santa. Children walked around and explored some familiar fairytale houses. They met Rudolf and his friend (real reindeer). They then went on to visit Mrs Claus and make a wish in the mince pie mix and received a candy cane treat. The children went on a couple of fairground rides. They finally met Santa and told him what they wanted for Christmas and received an early gift. We then had some lunch and watched a show put on by the elves. All the children had a magical time.
On Tuesday, our local PCSO visited our Year 6 class to do some work around hate crimes and and cyber bullying. The children found it interesting to learn about what can be considered hate crimes and be punishable by law.
Yesterday, our Year 5 and 6 children competed in the Sportshall Athletics Finals for Wolverhampton Primary Schools. This included these events:
The children performed brilliantly and won several events including the boys and girls javelin and girls relay races. Overall, the school finished 8th out of all the Wolverhampton Primary schools – what a fantastic achievement!
To celebrate our work over the last year in living our mission, every day of Advent will remind us of the wonderful work that we have done. Take a look.
