Yesterday, children from year 5 and 6 attended a STEM race challenge at Harper Adams University. Their challenge was to design, build and customise a model F1 car to race at high speed down a track. Next they will up-skill others by sharing the information they have learned to form teams to enter the competition.
In the last week, we have hosted a phonics workshop and a transition workshop for our Year 1 parents. At these sessions, families obtained more information about how to support with their child’s reading in supporting their phonics sounds, and also discovered more about the transition from Reception to the Year 1 curriculum and how this will develop as the year progresses.
Families then had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities with their child, including maths, writing and learn through play opportunities.
Yesterday, some of our families and children from school participated in the celebration of the canonisation of St Carlo Acutis.
Parishioners watched the canonisation live at St Michael’s Church before Mass.
Congratulations to our Tag Rugby team that was one of 3 teams representing Wolverhampton in the Black Country Games in Walsall! The children performed brilliantly, growing into the tournament – well done!

After being part of the ‘classroom as studio’ art project all year, year 3 and 4 had the opportunity this afternoon to tour other classes around their own art exhibition. The children prepared information about different artists and styles to share with the children as they explained the art they had produced in class throughout the year.
