On Wednesday, in partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation and the PDC, were invited to Aldersley Leisure Village to take part in a maths workshop with darts. The children got to meet professional darts player ‘Alan Souter’ (who has just qualified for the quarter finals in his debut Grand Slam), meet Wolfie, and learn maths in a varitey of ways while learning how to play darts!
A truly wonderful experience, the children will not forget!

Congratulations to the whole school, who finished top in the St Francis and St Clare Multi Academy Company!
Congratulations to Year 5, who finished the top class at SS Peter and Paul and they also finished in the top 10% of the country!
Today, our School Council children attended a virtual tour of Parliament. They were able to ask questions and have decided they would like to write a letter to their local MP to ensure that all children get a free meal!
Last night, our football team had their second game again St Jude’s school! The heavy pitch didn’t help the children trying to play, but they battled ever so well! Despite going on to lose the match, the children showed progress and scored their first goal of the season, and there could have easily been a few more! Well done children!

On the 11th day, of the 11th month on the 11th hour we will remember them. We gathered to observe the national silence following a liturgy prepared by pupils from Y4, Y5 & Y6. Pupils across school have laid their prayers at our alter as we pray for the souls of the departed.
Year 5 planned and led a well attended class liturgy this morning where they linked their history learning about World War II with Remembrance Day. Thank you to those able to join us for this class liturgy.
Today we went to the KS2 All Aboard Festival together with other schools. The sports we did were tennis, a gym session, dodgeball, croquet, squash and archery. In tennis we practiced different tennis skills and learned what the parts of the racket were called and some famous tennis players names like Roger Federer.
When we had the gym session, we did races with exercises which was very tiring. Next, we did dodgeball with a twist because we hit rackets with balls. After that we tried croquet which was new to all of us but we enjoyed it. Then we played squash where we hit the balls against the wall with the rackets and tried balancing the ball whilst walking around the court. Finally, it was archery and we learned how to hold the bow and arrow and how to shoot properly. All the schools then had a photo taken together. IT WAS A GREAT DAY .
