Our Key Stage 2 children attended the Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham to watch Beauty and the Beast! They really enjoyed seeing a live show and will develop further work on this in the coming weeks.
Yesterday, we sent a team of Year 5 and Year 6 children to participate in the Sportshall Athletics event at Aldersley High School.
The events the children participated in were: hurdles, relay, throwing, speed bounce, long jump and high jump! The better they performed – the more points they earned for their team!
Well done everyone that attended, and thank you to parents who supported with transport.
Here are our children that have been nominated for praise this week.
Yesterday, our Year 5 children took part in a national STEM Challenge – Road to RIAT! They used their skills from a variety of curriculum areas: Maths, Science, English, PSHE and Design Technology to compete in a Glider Challenge and then they had to design a sustainable aircraft for the future!
Yesterday, four of our Year 4 children attended a spelling competition at Wolverhampton Girl’s High School, competing against other schools in Wolverhampton. They did extremely well and should be so proud of themselves!
Yesterday in school, we were acknowledging ‘Red Wednesday’ to support Aid to the Church in Need. Children participated in their own class assemblies and liturgies #RedWednesday2022.
Today, our Confirmandi children had the opportunity to go to St Michael’s Church. We celebrated this special retreat day there with other schools in our academy. This opportunity meant the children could learn more about the Sacrament of Confirmation.
On Friday, we welcomed our school community in to watch our Year 2 Class Assembly on Anti-Bullying! The children gave out an important message of ‘Reach out’ if you need help and ‘count on me’ if you are a friend to someone!
Well done Year 2!
