Key Stage 1 led a very special Liturgy yesterday during which they thought about how they will show love to others this Christmas. Their idea to decorate purple heart shaped balloons with their ‘go forth’ messages was very special indeed! A lovely, prayerful way to start the day. Thank you to families able to attend and to school council for serving refreshments afterward. #readytheway #prayerandliturgy
This afternoon we celebrated our Advent Mass in school. Father Alex blessed the Bambinelli that the children had produced in their classes! Well done to our Year 4 children, who sang an offertory hymn and our Liturgy Leaders who planned and led the mass with Father Alex.
Thank you to our school community who joined us.
Thank you to our Year 6 children who planned and led Mass with Father Alex yesterday morning for Saint John of the Cross. Thank you to the families who attended. #saintjohnofthecross
Yesterday, some of our year 3 and 4 children attended a Basketball event at Aldersley Leisure Village. They participated in a lot of drills to improve their skills and then competed in friendly games to put into practise what they had learnt.
What a beautiful evening at this years’ Candlelight Carol Service. Year 4 represented the school superbly in all of the ways in which they contributed to a very special evening. What a pleasure it is to be a part of this tradition.
On Friday, Year 3 and 4 attended Snowdome for their Winter Wonderland Experience. During their visit, the children were able to pull sledges in the snow, make snow angels and go down slides in the snow.
They watched a pantomime about Cinderella; wrote letters to Father Christmas; saw lots of animals and rode a carousel.
For their final activity, they had lots of fun in the Snow Park.
