Our Year 5 children went to Young Voices in Birmingham last week and joined lots of other primary schools in the singing event. They sang a medley of songs including pop hits, a Moana medley and medley of the songs from Matilda. Thank you to Miss Barrett who has been working with them.
Our Girl’s football team played last week against St Andrews Primary School, drawing 1-1. The team played wonderfully and were unlucky not to win the match with a disallowed goal!
We are really proud to have been recognised for living simply, sustainably and in solidarity by being awarded the Live Simply Award by CAFOD.
Pupils and staff are proud to have achieved the Live Simply Award after taking action to demonstrate they are living simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the world’s poorest communities. This two year journey has involved actions that have impacted school, the local area and globally.
Championed by overseas development charity CAFOD, we have been recognised for implemented a number of exceptional projects that highlighted the importance of caring for people and the planet.
We look forward to planning together as a school community to decide on ways our live simply journey can continue.
Yesterday, the children hosted a cake sale in school to raise money for school funds. Thank you for all the families and staff that contributed and baked some delicious cakes!
This morning, we had a kinetic letter family learning workshop, which was really well attended by families! It was lovely for parents to see the methods we use to teach handwriting and to become familiar with the language that we use in school. Here are the slides that were shared:
