Here are the children who received praise this week!
Today, Year 4 celebrated their class saint’s feast day with a class liturgy in the hall with parents. The children shared the life of St. Vincent De Paul with those that attended and shared all the wonderful work he had done.
We also reflected and had time to think about how we can help people in need!
What a blast (of colour)! A great way to end a Thursday, with a colour run for a great cause!

Children were visited by Severn Trent today to explain the journey our water takes. We talked about the Water Cycle and how our water is cleaned. We also talked about how we can save water and linked this to our month of Creation and Caring for Our Common Home.
Reception invited their parents into the classroom to hear a story read by Mrs Griffiths, share stories with their families and then take a book for pleasure home to enjoy.
On Friday, we were delighted to be invited to the launch of the Super Movers for Every Body Campaign at the Wolves Training Ground hosted by The Premier League.
The Premier League has teamed up with the BBC and ParalympicsGB to launch Super Movers for Every Body, using the inspiration of top-flight footballers and talented athletes to engage with disabled children and those with special educational needs in sport and physical activity.
Currently, 1.5 million children in England have special educational needs or are disabled, but only one in four disabled children take part in physical activity at school. Super Movers for Every Body is designed to tackle this issue and get everybody moving.
To support this, the Premier League has funded free Super Movers for Every Body equipment packs, to help them deliver inclusive sports activity for all students aged five to 11. These packs contain a range of equipment including audio balls and foam javelins, plus resource cards designed to facilitate various fun activities, including Blind Football, Para athletics and Boccia, a target ball sport which tests both muscle control and accuracy.
The children were able to experience all of these sports on Friday having a lot of fun in the process. Additionally, they were able to meet some of our gold and silver medalist Paralympians – Jack Eyers and Laura Sugar! The children were able to speak to them about their experience and hold the medals, which contained part of the Eiffel Tower in it’s design.
We plan to use this experience to incorporate some of these activities into our PE and Extra Curricular curriculum.
What a beautiful Mass we had at school yesterday to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary. It was a special day to also celebrate the anniversary of Fr Alex becoming a priest – we pray for him and his priestly work for the parish. Mrs Byrne presented a gift from the school to commemorate this special anniversary!
