Children were visited today by a brand new HGV Cab from Mainline Haulage, a family run business in the city of Wolverhampton. It is their 50th Anniversary next month and they wanted to raise awareness of the Vehicle Haulage sector. Children were able to have a look at the sleeping quarters, explore the cab including the fridge, cameras, iPad and sit in the driver’s seat. They particularly enjoyed pressing the horn.
We were also incredibly grateful that they thoughtfully donated new high vis jackets for us to wear when we are on our own travels, proudly worn here by School Council! Thank you to all at Mainline Haulage who made this memorable day possible.
Yesterday, we invited parents of children in Nursery and Reception to a maths focussed workshop with the aim to help parents support their children with maths at home and also give them an idea into how it is delivered through our curriculum in school.
Thank you to the families that attended, a reminder that you can look at the slides and suggested links here: Family Workshops
This morning, Mrs Byrne led a Stations of the Cross Prayer Service, where we reflected on the final moment of Jesus’ life. The children reflected in prayer whilst listening about each station.
Yesterday, we were treated to a spectacle from Year 6 as they shared their class assembly in school. They portrayed the story of Jesus through Holy Week, whilst showcasing their musical, acting and dancing talents! A wonderful performance!
Yesterday, Year 5 celebrated the feast day of their Saint Oscar Romero by having a class mass led by Father Alex and the children. Thank you to those that attended!
Today, Year 4 were visited by firefighters from Tettenhall Fire Station. They learnt about what to do if there is a fire in their home, potential dangers in the home and how to do the stop, drop and roll technique.
It was lovely to invite our families into our Early Years setting to meet our new ducklings!
Yesterday, our Year 5 children went to St Edmund’s Catholic Academy to host a Liturgy in their school chapel. Their liturgy was about our mothers and Mary. They shared that no matter what our mothers will always love us.
