It is official, SS Peter and Paul have won the GoReadathon competition. Please see this message from Mrs Byrne.
Dear children,
I am delighted to be able to tell you that we have come first in the Big GoReadthon competition! With your hard work, enthusiasm and efforts we have achieved something extraordinarily special. To win a BIG compeition like this, against many schools far and wide, at a time when schools are not open as they normally would be, is an incredibly special achievement. You know that I personally hoped that we could do well in the competition; I know that we love reading, we recognise how important it is, our staff are passionate about reading and we aim to try our best. I did not expect that we would win overall because so many schools are registered to use GoRead, and so many schools champion reading expertly. I could not be more proud because we have had a bit of fun encouraging and promoting the compeition along the way. We have shared and tracked daily results and we have come together as the BEST TEAM with a shared goal of doing the very best we could. You can’t do better than first. I can’t wait to share the trophy with you all. Well done to every single one of you. Thank your parents for their support and contribution, thank your teachers and support staff for encouraging you, then give yourself a pat on the back for being NUMBER 1!
Have a wonderful half term, stay safe, be good, patient and happy.

Yesterday, our Reception class participated in lots of different activities in their class to do with celebrating Diwali! Look at the wonderful things they got up to…

We launched out National School Sport Week campaign yesterday with a special visitor – Radzi Chinyanganya. Radzi visited all our children currently in school and also answered questions from some pupils, who are still at home.
Staff, pupils and families are all participating in challenges for the #SSPPgoingthatextramile campaign. Whether it is running, cycling, walking or climbing, children and adults of all ages are getting involved to raise money for our school. You can donate here:

Radzi did some of his own challenges in school so we thought it was only fitting to award him with his own Lockdown 2020 medal. We will be posting videos of his challenges later this week – maybe you can beat him
