We have had some wonderful pictures of you displaying your ‘hearts’. Let’s keep spreading the message about how important it is to ensure we have defibrillators in schools and in the WV6 area.

Following the scenes witnessed when Christian Eriksen collapsed in Denmark’s opening
Euro 2020 game against Finland, pupils at SS Peter and Paul have launched a campaign to try and secure funding to help us install a community defibrillator. Through their research, they have mapped the locations of existing devices and now have a compelling argument for action.
Recently as a school community, we thanked former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo for personally backing and helping fund the ‘Feed Our Pack’ campaign. Now, as a force for good in our City, we turn to Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation to see if they will back our campaign to install a defibrillator at our school and at others across Wolverhampton. In an open letter to incoming manager Bruno Lage, Year 6 have asked for his personal backing for a campaign they refer to as: ‘Keeping the Heartbeat of the City Going’.
Year 6 have made their own campaign video and will be contacting local businesses in the hope that sponsors may also feel passionately about the benefits of defibrillators for schools.
On our sports day, we were asking for donations to raise money for Compton Care in honour of Tony Mcginn, who worked in our Multi Academy Company but sadly passed away from a long battle with cancer in May.
We would like to say a huge thank you, as we managed to raise an amazing £103.04.
On Tuesday, we celebrated our Rainbow Day in celebration of our Saints, Peter and Paul. Activities included: Rainbow activities, nail painting, tatoos, chalking on the playground, dancing, painting and gardening! With grateful thanks to all of our school community who have generously supported our efforts to live out our mission. We were proudly supporting the Neurosurgery Department, Research & Development at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and we are even prouder to say that we have raised £566.90 to donate! Thank you so much!
Nursery have enjoyed learning all about Eid. They had fun making Eid cards, making (and eating) star and moon toast and tasting dates. Some of their friends brought in treats for them to share…thank you! They loved hearing about how some of their friends had celebrated Eid.[

We are extremely proud of Isabelle for taking part and winning a very important competition. The Wolverhampton Wanders foundation tasked children to create a design that promoted their ‘No room for racism’ campaign and Isabelle’s drawing won! She was rewarded with a t-shirt worn and signed by Moutinho with her design on, a Wolves flag and a water bottle.
Well done Isabelle!

Yesterday, the children came dressed in green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day but most importantly to raise money for Father Hudson’s charity. This was a great idea by our Year 6 pupils and adopted by the school! Thank you for all your donations!
