Well done to our Year 4 children, who participated in their first Sacrament of Reconciliation yesterday.

Well done to our Year 4 children, who participated in their first Sacrament of Reconciliation yesterday.
Today was Mission Day in our school. We have a new mission statement and we have been learning what it means and recognising the many ways we put the words into action!
Have a look at what we got up to:
Our Year 3 children have been learning about Carlo Acutis, who is to be canonised this Saturday.
Here is their lovely display work:
Our Reception children and staff want to share a smile as we celebrate Little Way Week. We hope their lovely smiles bring a warm smile to your face. We look forward to seeing more smiles on Hello Yellow Day on Friday 9th October!
Take a look at some of the calendars of kindness for the month of October from our Year 6 children! This is encouraging our children to complete an act of kindness a day and this will also support our own positive mental health!
At this time of uncertainty and anxiety with our churches closed for public worship, Pope Francis has called on the world’s Christians and people of goodwill to join together to pray the Lord’s Prayer on Wednesday, 25 March at 11am UK time (midday in Rome).
A link to this live: https://www.cbcew.org.
The ‘Our Father’ is the prayer Jesus taught his disciples and the first prayer many of us learned to pray.
Pope Francis encourages us to “remain united and make our closeness felt – especially with healthcare professionals and those who serve.”
Join our staff, governors, pupils in school and families at home in uniting in prayer.
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
The Early Years team and children would like to thank the families who joined us in our outdoor area on Wednesday 29th January for their hard work and support. They were tasked with shoveling soil, transporting it in wheelbarrows and filling the digging area and planting areas. They also helped to move bags of stones and gravel which have been placed in tyres to enhance the environment further. This is just the beginning and we will be looking for more willing volunteers in the coming weeks…
On Tuesday 10th December, children from our School Choir performed, ‘Oh What a Glorious Night’ and joined the carol singing alongside choirs from: St Edmunds, St Teresa’s, St Bernadette’s and St Christopher’s. The children sang beautifully and represented SS Peter and Paul very well indeed.
On Friday, children and staff at SS Peter and Paul celebrated the religious festival of Diwali in school by wearing traditional dress, bright clothing and learning about the festival in classes. Traditional refreshments were also on sale to the children and parents at the end of the day.
What a lovely way to end a busy half term! A safe holiday to all and we will see you back at school on Monday 4th November for the start of Parliament week.
Also on Sunday 13th October, our Year 5 teacher and Vice-Principal – Mr Morgan – completed the Great Birmingham run, which is 13.1 miles. He was running to raise money for a charity close to everyone’s hearts – Alzheimer’s Society.
He completed the run in under 2 hours and more importantly has raised nearly £900 for this cause! He would like to thank all the parents and staff for their contributions! Well done!
