Last week across the whole school, children had a wonderful Christmas Experience.
On Tuesday, our EYFS children performed a wonderful nativity. The children were superb and delivered a beautiful retelling of the Christmas Story led by a very talented team of staff. The next day, the children continued to think about the first Christmas by meeting some of the animals from the stable as the farm on wheels came to visit.
On Thursday, our children across years 1-6 enjoyed their own Christmas Experience Day. Years 1-3 enjoyed boarding the Polar Express. This included children doing a carousel of activities such as making reindeer food, designing and eating their own Christmas biscuits and designing their Christmas cards. In the afternoon, the children enjoyed changing into their pyjamas and watched The Polar Express movie with their blankets and cuddly toys in the hall. They were treated to a hot chocolate and popcorn from the train conductors and had their Polar Express tickets hole punched with their initial.
Years 4-6 celebrated Christmas from around the world. They did a range of activities including creating African art designs for baubles, creating an Indian star and other decorations from around the world.
Also in the afternoon, all year groups were treated to a surprise, when pupils across the school got to meet and stroke two of Father Christmas’ fleet of reindeer!
