STEM Event 23 September 2025 - Yesterday, children from year 5 and 6 attended a STEM race challenge at Harper Adams University. Conclave Live Assembly 08 May 2025 - Today our pupils watched the live assembly about the Conclave. Children enjoyed listening to the facts and participating in a live liturgy from the Vatican city. Children wrote prayers to Jesus asking to support the Cardinals to choose the next Pope by listening to his guidance.
Tennis Taster Day 08 May 2025 - Today, Tim from Albrighton Tennis Club came to do a free taster session for all of our children in Reception to Year 5. Molineux Cup 22 May 2024 - Today, we took part in the Primary Molineux Cup. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best but this didn’t damped the occasion. STEM Workshop – Year 5 16 May 2024 - On Wednesday, the STEM response team from Wolverhampton University came into lead a workshop for our Year 5 children on forces and magnets. Multi Skills Event 23 February 2024 - Yesterday, some of our children from Years 2,3 and 4 represented the school in a multi-skills event. They participated in different activities which demonstrated their key skills of balance, speed, agility and hand-eye coordination.

Football Match V St Andrews 29 January 2024 - Our football team played a friendly against St Andrew’s on Friday, where they won 5-0 thanks to 3 goals from Oscar! A really strong team performance, with some new faces representing the school – Well done!z
Young Voices 29 January 2024 - Our Year 5 children went to Young Voices in Birmingham last week and joined lots of other primary schools in the singing event. They sang a medley of songs including pop hits, a Moana medley and medley of the songs from Matilda. Thank you to Miss Barrett who has been working with them.
Girl’s Football Match 29 January 2024 - Our Girl’s football team played last week against St Andrews Primary School, drawing 1-1. The team played wonderfully and were unlucky not to win the match with a disallowed goal!

Dodgeball Event 15 November 2023 - Some pupils from Years 5 and 6 participated in a Dodgeball competition yesterday at Our Lady and St Chad Catholic School. Creature Feature Experience 04 October 2023 - Today, we had a visit from the Creature Feature Experience and they brought a variety of animals to show the children. These included a skunk, anaconda, scorpion, tortoise, a royal python, tarantula and many more. The children all had the opportunity to stroke the animals and learn about their habitat and diet.
All Aboard Festival – Key Stage 1 03 October 2023 - We took 10 of our children to the all aboard festival at Aldersley Leisure Village this morning! The children participated in different activities including football, Drumba, dancing and archery! The children had lots of fun and can’t wait to try these again in the future!

Year 6 Molineux Prize 24 July 2023 - On Friday, as a reward for collecting the most bottles in the Reconomy project, Year 6 went to Molineux and had a guided tour of the stadium and museum.
Year 1 Wildside Visit 13 July 2023 - On Wednesday, Year 1 went on a Geography activity day to Wildside. They reactivated their Geography learning by looking for human and physical features during a canal walk.  They also experienced orienteering for the first time by map reading and using a compass. The children will continue using these skills in school this week.
Reception Library Visit 11 July 2023 - Reception enjoyed their class trip to the Library. Lots of parents joined us to share stories and become members of the library. Some of us even borrowed some books.
Nursery visit Burntwood Alpacas 05 July 2023 - Our Nursery visited Burntwood Alpacas; children had hands-on experience of guinea pigs, goats, alpacas, chickens, snakes and lizards. They also collected an egg from the hen house to take home, had a picnic and had lots of fun on the bouncy pillow!

Coronation Celebration! 05 May 2023 - The sun came out as we celebrated the King’s Coronation with a Coronation Brunch this morning on the school field! We all had a crown-shaped biscuit and some fruit. The children joined in the fun games led by our Play Leaders while music played – what a fabulous morning celebration for this historic occasion!  
Rosary Prayer Group 04 May 2023 - During the month in which we honour Mary, pupils and staff can join the pupil led Rosary prayer group daily in the prayer garden. Our prayer leaders have rosary beads for all who attend but children are welcome to bring their own if they would like to #prayerandliturgy
A Royal Visit 02 May 2023 - One of our students was lucky enough to meet HRH Prince Edward this morning. The Duke of Edinburgh had visited the Beatsabar Music Project this morning in Wolverhampton, which our pupil had attended in the holidays! What a wonderful experience!

Tri Golf Champions! 27 April 2023 - Our Year 3 and 4 pupils went to Our Lady and St Chad’s last night to compete in a Tri Golf competition and I am very happy to say that we won! World Oral Health Day 20 March 2023 - In Nursery, children have been learning about the importance of oral hygiene; they brought their tooth brushes to school and we all brushed our teeth together. Reception have been learning about the importance of keeping their teeth clean. They used their own toothbrushes but were given a brand new one and paste at the end of the day.

KS2 Multi Skills Event 25 January 2023 - Yesterday, some of our Year 3 and 4 pupils attended a multi-skills event at Westcroft School. They completed activities testing their skills such as jumping, speed, catching and agility! They did phenomenally well and came 3rd out of 10 teams! Well done children!
Key Stage 1 Multi-Skills Competition 23 January 2023 - This evening, some of our Year 2 children participated in a multi-skills competition. This involved testing their skills in speed, balance, throwing, jumping and their hand-eye coordination. They all gave their best and we look forward to finding out the results!

Year 5 STEM Challenge – Road to RIAT 25 November 2022 - Yesterday, our Year 5 children took part in a national STEM Challenge – Road to RIAT! They used their skills from a variety of curriculum areas: Maths, Science, English, PSHE and Design Technology to compete in a Glider Challenge and then they had to design a sustainable aircraft for the future!

Year 5 Children’s University Graduation 22 June 2022 - Yesterday, we were very proud of 15 of our Year 5 children, who graduated with a Bronze Award, with 2 children also graduating with their Silver Award. Theatre Trip to see the Moomins 10 December 2021 - Our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children attended Newhampton Arts Centre going on a journey through the seasons with Moomintroll, Snufkin, Little My, Thingumy and Bob. Geography Projects Exhibition 05 February 2020 - On Friday, we invited family into visit each class to see the wonderful Geography projects that have been created. Boccia Tournament 16 December 2019 - On Thursday 5th December, Some of our Year 4, 5 and 6 children represented the school in a Boccia tournament at Westcroft Special School. Candelight Choir Performance 16 December 2019 - On Tuesday 10th December, children from our School Choir performed, ‘Oh What a Glorious Night’ and joined the carol singing alongside choirs from: St Edmunds, St Teresa’s, St Bernadette’s and St Christopher’s.
